Ypsilanti police: Barricaded situation ends after suspect could not be found in home
Police believe the individual, who was involved in an alleged domestic dispute, escaped before officers arrived

YPSILANTI, Mich. – Police said an individual involved in a domestic dispute and barricaded situation early Wednesday morning in Ypsilanti could not be found inside the home and likely escaped before officers arrived.
According to the Ypsilanti Police Department, a domestic violence incident happened at about 2 a.m., April 28, in the 300 block of South Street. Police said it was initially reported that two people got into a physical altercation when one of them retrieved a gun. However, after attempting to fire, the gun failed to discharge.
