The town of Winchester continues to be in the yellow zone for infectious rate of COVID-19, but the overall numbers are sliding, according to state data released on Feb. 18.
Over the past 14 days, the average daily incidence rate was 24.7 while the while the percent positivity was 1.66. Both numbers showed a lowering trend from the prior week, following statewide trends.
In that same period, 5,296 tests were taken in Winchester with just 88 coming back positive.
According to the town s dashboard, Winchester had 27 confirmed active cases as of Feb. 15. There were 1,017 overall recovered cases and 15 deaths.
Winchester Public Schools also reported a steady decline with just seven active confirmed cases. Overall, there have been 215 total recovered cases.
