Originally serialized in Comic Kairakuten from the May 2021 installment, One Spring Night is a twenty-two-page story from creator Momoko, who has about two dozen other works on the service. This marked my second experience with them and since it was a new chapter in one of the latest magazines to get brought over as of this writing, it was a good opportunity to check out something new. I liked what I read of theirs before with the Scorcher story but wanted to see more of their material. This one worked a lot better for me as it felt more natural, better-paced, and a lot more erotic in a way that I didn’t quite expect.

The first volume of Momo Tama isn’t all that bad a read. It’s got an interesting premise. It has a nice look, for the most part. It kept me moderately interested the whole time.

The first half of this volume is essentially a wrap-up of the battle against Fenrir. Leo has recovered, and normalcy has returned to Ozmargo. And with Sari safely back, we get a warm and fuzzy moment when Leo replaces Sari’s broken ring. However, Tomofuji-sensei quickly replaces the romance with humor when Sari and Lante encounter a platypus folk who’s come to the capitol for Leo’s victory procession.
