A series doesn’t have to be original to be good; which fact is a lucky thing for Mamotte Shugogetten, because “original” is one of the last words you could use to describe it. It will remind readers who pick it up of one other series at least in its premise, and many other romantic comedies in its smaller details. Mamotte Shugogetten could have been good anyway. The first volume of Momo Tama isn’t all that bad a read. It’s got an interesting premise. It has a nice look, for the most part. It kept me moderately interested the whole time.
