The Giants need to win now, and they just went out and spent money in free agency like a team that feels like it’s ready to do so. They wouldn’t have paid significant money to keep Leonard Williams and add both Kenny Golladay and Adoree’ Jackson if the organization didn’t believe it was ready to take the next step.
Maybe there’s not an exact win total that will get there, but six wins or a losing record at all certainly won’t cut it. And now there’s an extra game for the Giants to get there, too, as the NFL added the 17th game to the slate this year.

Craig McDaniel from Columbia, South Carolina
Question: Hi Jim, as a Titans fan from the beginning born and raised in South Carolina, it s hard to believe this is my first time reaching out to you. I m really concerned that the Titans didn t do anything to address the defensive line in this draft. They had a terrible time getting any push and/or pressure last season. Have I missed any additions they ve made to the d-line so far this off season? It just seems to me that was a glaring need.
Copied!
There was a lot to like about the Patriots draft class. First and foremost they found a quarterback of the future in Mac Jones, but Bill Belichick also picked a pair of talented defensive linemen, a promising linebacker and found some depth toward the end of the proceedings as well.
The one glaring omission was at wide receiver, where the team once again passed despite the presence of a deep and talented cadre of pass catchers. Among the options the Patriots passed on at various points of Days 2 and 3 were Rondale Moore, D Wayne Eskridge, Terrace Marshall, Dyami Brown, Amari Rodgers, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Tylan Wallace.
Kadarius Toney = Curtis Samuel??
Curtis Samuel was one of the FA WRs expected to land with the Giants in the offseason. As we all know, that’s not how it worked out, and Samuel is apart of a dynamic WR group out of Washington now.
Now if you look at everything said about Curtis Samuels usage, many have said he’s more of a gadget player with Jet Sweeps and the like who can get explosive when given the ball.
To me Samuel would have been a good talent to add at the cheap FA price he came. But would you have drafted Curtis Samuel 20th overall? Cause in my eyes that’s what we did with Kadarius Toney. We got a guy who can make plays IF utilized right, and even then won’t necessarily do it from the lions share of snaps.
