The man’s condition is not known, police spokesman Sgt. Zachary Attaway said Monday.
Attaway did not identify the man, saying only that he is in his 60s and from Maine.
The motorcycle was one of two that were traveling from Hudson into Marlborough on Pleasant Street. The victim rode off the road and struck the fire hydrant and then the utility pole about 7:30 p.m., the sergeant said.
The man was unconscious when police and fire personnel arrived. He had “lower extremity” injuries, as well as injuries to his head and upper body, Attaway said.
The man was initially taken to Marlborough Hospital but was later taken by medical rescue helicopter to UMass-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

MILFORD, MA A motorcyclist was seriously injured Sunday after a crash near the Holliston town line along Route 16, according to Milford police.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, crashed into a utility pole northeast of Zain Circle and was thrown off his bike into the woods, Milford police said. Milford police and firefighters treated the man at the scene before he was flown by helicopter to UMass Memorial in Worcester, according to police.
No other vehicles or people were involved in the crash. Milford police and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council are investigating what caused the crash.

A woman who was stabbed at a storage facility in Shrewsbury this week is expected to survive, and an arrest warrant has been issued for the person accused of attacking her, police said.
Officers received a 911 call around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday about a woman bleeding after being stabbed in the neck at Extra Space Storage at 53 Clinton St., according to a statement the Shrewsbury Police Department posted to Facebook on Friday.
Patrol officers and detectives found a 37-year-old woman who had been stabbed with a broken glass tube. She was given emergency medical attention by police and taken to the hospital by Worcester EMS paramedics to be treated for her severe injury, according to the department’s post. The victim’s expected to survive, the statement noted.
