JAMMU, July 14: The Government today ordered establishment of a Central Registry Unit (CRU) in the Civil Secretariat Jammu and Srinagar for centralized receipt of Dak of all departments.
All Dak addressed to various departments functioning from the Civil Secretariat shall only be received in the Central Registry Units, functioning at Legislative Complex Premises in Civil Secretariat Jammu/Srinagar. The CRU shall function as part of GAD, under the overall supervision of an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary.

DCA supplying vials to the COVID Hospitals as per requirement, say DG
The State government has constituted special teams to check the unauthorised sale of Remdesivir injections, which are used in the treatment of COVID-19, in the market.
Due to spurt in the COVID-19 cases, the demand for Remdesivir vials is on the raise. There are instances of a few mediators, medical distributors and hospital staff making money by selling the injections at a high price.
York County man accused of dragging officer with his vehicle arrested by U.S. Marshals

A York County man accused of dragging a police officer during a traffic stop earlier this month was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on Monday, according to a statement.
40-year-old Shane Eckert, charged with aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer and other related charges, was found in a hotel room in Fairview Township, York County, according to the Marshals.
Eckert, of Thomasville, ran when a marshals’ task force and Fairview Township police tried to apprehend him by forcing his way into an adjacent room and running away through the hallway, according to the marshals.
