GoFundMepage has raised more than $129,000 for SickKids Foundation in memory of the beloved children. “Our loving Anaya was a confident, athletic girl who brightened up the world with her beautiful smile,” the family said in their fundraiser.
“Our free-spirited Jax was a vibrant, energetic young boy who filled everyone’s hearts with so much love and joy.”
The evidence disclosed during the bail hearing is covered by a publication ban. Under the YCJA, the onus is on the Crown to prove why the teen should be held in custody.

The Waterloo-area sexual assault victim at the centre of a shocking decision to convict and fine her for violating a publication ban on her own name has won her appeal.

The conviction has been set aside and the court will be returning the $2,000 fine and $600 victim surcharge she had to pay.
In a brief hearing, Crown attorney Julia Forward said there was a jurisdictional error by convicting C.L. of obstruct justice and their position is that the “conviction cannot stand and I’m requesting that the appeal be allowed.”

Despite being sworn to do no harm, his greedy need to feed his extravagant lifestyle led this family doctor to endanger vulnerable addicts, and at the time of his arrest, he was even hoping to flood more of the drug onto the streets in return for more cash.
So Otto, 62, more than deserved the stiff sentence handed down on Nov. 14, 2019. But he’s not behind bars instead, he’s believed to be leading the good life somewhere in his native Uganda, far from the grasp of Canadian law.
