If anything, the coronavirus pandemic has given restaurant carryout more clout.
Diners recognize they can pick up prepared food - maybe smoked baby back ribs, filet mignon or poached lobster tail - from a nicer restaurant. Establishments, some that previously rarely catered to carryout, have stepped it up with online ordering, proper packaging and foods designed to travel well.

The carryout restaurant, a spinoff of a food truck operating under the same name, opened April 9 at 7839 Allentown Blvd. in West Hanover Township at the Skyline View Business Center. Its specialty is “savory meats and inspired eats.”
Among the signature menu items are pulled pork and chicken, including a hefty “Fully Monty” one-pound platter made with both kinds of meats topped with kimchi aioli and served with sides of chipotle bacon slaw, smoky mac and cheese and sweet corn cake.
