GODOD, Zamboanga del Norte, June 3 (PIA) - Former rebels and indigenous peoples of Godod town will soon have their own homes.
The Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) of Godod, Zamboanga del Norte received the first tranche of Php30 million out of the Php40 million total project cost from the National Housing Authority recently.
The fund is intended for the construction of 100-unit Housing Project for former rebels in Barangay Bunawan and another 100-unit Housing Project for Subanen and Kalibugan indigenous peoples displaced from high risk areas in Barangay Poblacion.
The turn-over of cheque was held during the Ground Breaking Ceremony attended by Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, chief of staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines.
