Second Providence Walk meeting garners less public concern

A second neighborhood compatibility meeting, held Wednesday for a proposed subdivision of 90 single-family homes in Hendersonville, didn t garner as many questions from the public as the first. Providence Walk, proposed to be built off North Main Street, is no longer planned to be a mix of single-family homes and apartment complexes. Residents expressed concerns about increases in traffic and crime during the first compatibility meeting held May 26.  No written comments were submitted prior to the meeting Wednesday, and only three people spoke.   Changes to the developer s concept plan and feedback from residents prompted the second compatibility meeting, according to Hendersonville Planning Manager Matthew Manley. Only one is usually held.

Crestview to offer Quickmed urgent care program | News, Sports, Jobs

Staff Writer NEW WATERFORD When a student develops a possible illness during the school day it can sometimes be difficult for parents to leave work, pick up the child and get them into the doctor’s office immediately. Quickmed CEO Dr. Lena Esmail proposed to the Crestview Board of Education a plan to give the students the option of having an urgent care doctor or registered nurse available to provide assistance right on site. Esmail said the company currently has such a program at the Youngstown City Schools, which does not have a single pediatrician available within the school district. The physician at the school is able to perform that strep test, close up lacerations and provide vaccinations for students who need them. The doctor notifies the parent with a phone call and gives the parent the right to refuse, but the option is there for the parent who cannot get off work, find transportation to the school or for the student between doctors at that time.
