(Army) A drill sergeant at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, who married one of his former trainees and had inappropriate relationships with two other trainees, is no longer in the Army after being punished late last year, post officials confirmed. The acknowledgment comes as the Army continues an investigation into alleged sexual assault by instructors against a trainee at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. An undisclosed number of cadre members were suspended in early April, and specialized Army CID agents were dispatched to Fort Sill to support the ongoing probe.

Veterans Affairs medical centers across America are now offering walk-in appointments for coronavirus vaccines for all veterans, their spouses and their caregivers, officials announced on Monday. The move comes as VA leaders near 3 million vaccinations for veterans and federal employees over the last five months, but also amid a slowdown in demand among many Americans for the vaccine.

The pre-dawn attack damaged a hangar at al-Asad Air Base, tweeted coalition spokesman Col. Wayne Marotto. He said the attack was under investigation. An Iraqi military statement also said no losses were reported.

(Wesley Farnsworth/Air Force) DAYTON, Ohio (AP) The city of Dayton has sued the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the Defense Department for failing to stop water contaminants from entering a source of the city’s drinking water. The lawsuit filed Monday in the Southern District of Ohio accuses the air base of failing to stop per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances, known as PFAS, from entering one of the sources of the city’s water, the Dayton Daily News reported. In March, the city gave notice that it intended to sue unless the air base agreed to cooperate on mitigation measures for PFAS contamination.
