Motorcyclist arrested after State Trooper chase By: Maura Johnson
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – A motorcyclist was arrested after allegedly leading an Indiana State Trooper on a chase Thursday evening, Indiana State Police reported.
At 5:25 p.m., a trooper saw a black 2013 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle speeding westbound on S.R. 2 near Quince Road, reports said.
The trooper caught up to the motorcycle as it got stuck in stopped traffic at a traffic light at Quince Road.
The trooper turned on his lights and siren as the motorcyclist and trooper went through the intersection.
The rider of the motorcycle, 28-year-old Timothy Hefner of Michigan City, allegedly looked back at the trooper before moving to the right shoulder and slowly crossing the westbound lanes of S.R. 2, reports said.
The site extends to 0.98 acres, with surface parking provided on site for 72 cars. The premises are presumed to have full E(a) retail planning consent. There is potential for the existing building to be used for other uses. Shirley is a popular shopping district approximately 1.5 miles northwest of Southampton city centre. The property is situated just off Shirley Road, where many national and local retailers are located. Adjacent and nearby occupiers include Lidl, McDonald s, Tesco Express and Peter Cooper Volkswagen. The brochure says the property is also available to let. A new Lidl store opened at the junction of Shirley High Street and Villiers Road in February last year.
