Three firefighters have had their retirements from the service marked with special presentations.
Richard Mackay retired from the Wick crew at the end of December, after 42 years in the local service.
Richard, a plumber by trade, joined the service on September 4, 1978, becoming a leading fire fighter in 1993 and then crew manager.
Ian Swanson and Mervyn Hill retired in October 2019, but their belated planned presentations were scuppered by Covid-19 restrictions.

Wick s Hogmanay bonfire has become the latest casualty of the coronavirus restrictions.
The community event at the town s Bignold Park has suffered the same fate as other fire festivals across Scotland in having to be scrapped in the interest of public safety.
The cancellation is especially poignant as it comes in the year that saw the passing of Wick historian Iain Sutherland, who revived the bonfire tradition in the early 1970s. He died in May, aged 83.
