Meridian Boys Wins First State Title In 29 Years We follow our Boise State Broncos, Idaho Vandals, Colleg of Idaho (Yotes) and the list goes on. You also have the high school football battles including BSU s college basketball run this year. It s fun to cheer for the underdog though. Sometimes fans get tired of seeing the same teams win and that is where the Meridian 5A boys team made history. The guys won the first state championship since 1992. I m not at all the high school basketball games but I did hear that these kids were stars. There is just something when you have a team that believes in doing the impossible to make that dream come true.
