There are so many fun events and programs happening here starting this May and throughout the summertime.
Programs for the youth like Virtual Storytime, Creative Expressions Competition for Teens, Teen Book Talks, and even youth take-away sprouting kits. Other fun activities include beginner Yoga with Grace from Charlevoix Yoga, 50 Ways to Love Wine More with Jim Laughren, outdoor concerts, and book sales. Their calendar is FILLED with events and programs happening almost every day! You can find the calendar of what’s happening HERE.
The library also has a couple groups that meet weekly: Knitting and Sewing Groups for anyone of all skill levels, and a MAC Users Group for tips and special topics.
Mobile shredding event
There will be a mobile shredding event June 5 from 9 a.m. to noon (or until the truck is full) at the Richland Municipal Building Parking Lot, 4019 Dickey Road.
Women’s Business Network meetings
Women’s Business Network is an award-winning business association that supports the success and growth of women in business through networking, education, and leadership opportunities. The events of the past year have tested the versatility of many local organizations. From developing safe programs, to offering virtual alternatives, agencies and nonprofits have learned to share their mission in brand new ways.
Among these agile community partners is the Fairfield County District Library, which has taken unprecedented steps to help our community cope in challenging times.
Early in the pandemic, the FCDL team recognized that our youngest residents were among those most impacted by social restrictions – an understanding which gave rise to the free Virtual Storytime series, which takes place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings through Facebook Live.
