Lakewood apartment fire starts in bushes, 11 people displaced, says fire officials

LAKEWOOD, Colo. Twelve apartments are now uninhabitable after a bush caught fire and spread up the siding of an Lakewood apartment complex and into the eaves, said firefighters.
West Metro Fire was called out to the apartments located at 275 Zang St. on Monday afternoon – Sky9 saw visible flames shooting from the roof of the building.
Fire officials said the fire damaged two apartments – one unit is a total loss on the third floor because the roof was burned. The apartment underneath the unit on the second floor has heavy smoke and water damage.

UPDATE: According to ODF Southwest, firefighters from their office, Illinois Valley Fire District, Rural Metro Fire, Applegate Valley Fire District, Rogue River Fire District, and Oregon State Police are on scene of an estimated 15 acre fire along Highway-199 near Milepost 23.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. A home in Douglas County is a total loss after a fire that was started by a faulty propane grill, West Metro Fire Rescue said Saturday night.
West Metro tweeted just before 9 p.m. that crews were on the scene of a structure fire in the 10300 block of Totem Run in Roxborough.
