The festival is selling a pared down menu of favorites such as assorted boxed pastries and frozen “take and bake” pastitsio and mousakka.
“We’re hoping the spirit of the Greek Fest lives,” said Dimitro Zozos, one of the organizers.
Typically, the festival attracts more than 30,000 visitors for authentic Greek food, dancing and church tours over three days. Organizers decided, as they did last fall, to host a drive-thru due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The drive-thru sale includes traditional and chicken gyros, Greek salads, dolmades (grape leaves), Greek style meatballs, Avgolemono (lemon chicken soup), spanakopita, 6-packs of baklava, assorted pastry boxes and rice pudding.

There’s no flick-of-the-switch moment for when the pandemic will be over, they say.
And there’s obvious truth to that line of thinking. Different groups of people are getting vaccinated at different times. No vaccines have been approved for most school-age children yet. Some folks will refuse to get the vaccine at all. And above all, the virus isn’t going to just disappear.
