(Murfreesboro, TN) Dr. Trey Duke is proud to welcome Ynetia Avant Campbell back to Murfreesboro City Schools as Principal of Northfield Elementary.
Campbell joins Northfield with ten years of experience as a principal and assistant principal and 12 years of experience in the classroom where she was named Teacher of the Year and MEA Distinguished Educator. Over her tenure, she has participated in many community and leadership opportunities including the MCS Leadership Academy and the Chamber of Commerce Inaugural Amazing Shake Committee.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Campbell back to Murfreesboro City Schools,” says Director of Schools Trey Duke. “She is a motivator who seeks excellence in the classroom and throughout the school community. Her dedication to education is apparent.”

Summer school for Murfreesboro City School students will be quite full and Schools Spokesperson Lisa Trail said the session will be fun…Registration has closed for summer school and now the city is focusing on kindergarten registration…Again, to be in kindergarten a child must turn five by August 15, 2021. MURFREESBORO, Tennessee. - RUTHERFORD Cable, founding sponsor of the ATHENA International Leadership Award for Rutherford County, announces the 2021 nominees for this year’s award; 15 area women representing 15 Rutherford County organizations have been nominated, along with 12 young professional women (see page 2 and beyond for a complete listing and bio of each nominee). The nominees were introduced at RUTHERFORD Cable’s April 13 breakfast meeting.
The community-wide celebration of this year’s nominees is open to the public and will be held Thursday, June 3, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 1200 Conference Center Boulevard.
