Four POA officials appointed to 2023 South Asian Games working group Monday, 8 March 2021
Several Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) officials have been appointed to a working group in charge of organising the next South Asian Games.
Punjab is due to host the 14th edition of the Games in 2023 - spearheaded by Lahore - after Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan gave the event the green light.
POA President Syed Arif Hasan and Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti, Punjab s Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, met to form the working group.
POA secretary general Muhammad Khalid Mahmood, treasurer Muhammad Shafiq, deputy secretary general Muhammad Jahangir and associate secretary general Ahmer Mallick have all been appointed to the nine-person panel.

KARACHI: The three-day International Maritime Conference (IMC-21) organised on the theme of ‘Development of Blue Economy under a Secure and Sustainable Environment: A Shared Future for Western Indian Ocean Region’ by the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) under the auspices of Pakistan Navy culminated here on Monday.
Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, says a Pakistan Navy press release.
The conference included an array of prominent speakers who delivered addresses during the event presenting their thoughts on the theme.
