Rising crime ratio forces residents of Adiala to come on roads Islamabad January 18, 2021 Rawalpindi : The residents of Adiala Road on Sunday come out of their homes and protested over rising numbers of robberies and street crimes in the area. The bemoaned the apathy of the local police in checking crime rate at Anjum Lane, Nadir Street, Raja Habib Lane and Defence Road. The protesters carried banners and placards in their hands demanded the arrest of thieves and street criminals for freely roaming in their areas and looting the residents even in daylight on regular basis. The protesters said that over 20 theft and dacoities have been committed at Anjum Lane, Nadir Street, Raja Habib Lane and Defence Road during the past two weeks. Morgah Police Station has registered three FIRs but there has been no breakthrough in arresting the criminals, they said.

Matric, Inter exams to be held on same ‘paper pattern’ IBCC meeting rejects proposal of conducting MCQs based papers KARACHI: The Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) has decided that matriculation and intermediate examinations will be conducted on the same “paper pattern” without any change across the country. A meeting of the committee rejected the proposal to conduct examinations of IX and XI grades based on multiple choice questions (MCQs). However, the papers will be based on smart syllabus. The meeting was chaired by IBCC the official forum comprising the education boards of the four provinces and Azad Jammu and Kashmir under the federal government Steering Committee Chairman and Aga Khan Board Chairman Shehzad Jeeva, and attended by IBCC Secretary Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah.
