Imagine a scenic village in Portugal, entirely dedicated to digital nomads. With work from home becoming a way of living as COVID hit the world, a village like this is soon going to be a reality in the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira. The village is a brainchild of Gonçalo Hall, who proposed the village as a source of revenue while bringing together digital nomads. He first introduced the concept at a conference, which was also attended by the Portuguese economy minister.

As per the reports, The Line will be a part of a larger project known as Neom, which will be built along the Red Sea, and will connect various communities throughout Neom. The Line will also act as its main street, where people can go from one place to another by walking. As per the Prince, the project will be financed by the Saudi government as well as local and global investors for over 10 years.
Suriname president proposes visa-free travel between India and Suriname

Suriname, a small yet beautiful country in South America, is ready to remove visa permits and promote ‘visa-free travel’ between India and Suriname. On January 8, President Chandrikapersad Santokhi said that their country is ready to take the first step to strengthen the bilateral bonds between the two nations.
The President was speaking on
Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention organised by India on January 9. He said, “Suriname is prepared to take the first step in doing so by ending visa permits for visitors from India to Suriname.”
Canada: COVID negative test result required for air travel

Canada has made it mandatory for all Canada-bound passengers to produce COVID negative test results before boarding a flight to any Canadian destination. This move has been taken to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Air travel further remains restricted to the country, as the restrictions imposed on the entry of foreign nationals, which was initially announced in March last year due to the virus, still remains in force.
As per the reports, the government will only accept results from the RTPCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) or RT-LAMP (transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification) tests; those must also be taken within 72 hours before the departure of Canada-bound flights.
Singapore considering relaxation of COVID restrictions for vaccinated travellers

According to the latest reports, the top officials in Singapore are now planning to lift all the above restrictions before May 2021 when the yearly World Economic Forum will start in Asia.
