They say they served an arrest warrant Kya Nelson, 19, at his home in Racine, Wisconsin. He is in the Racine County Jail awaiting extradition to Kentucky.

Murray High Students Dismissed Early Tuesday For Bomb Threat

A day after going into lockdown concerning a call about possible gunshots heard at Murray High School; the school dismissed students Tuesday morning for a possible bomb threat. Murray Police Department Sgt. Andrew Wiggins told WKMS News the call came in around 8:10 a.m. He added several officers were already on the scene, and the department notified the bomb squad and the ATF. The school building and surrounding ground grounds were checked multiple times with no bomb found, with the search ending around 11:30 a.m. Murray Independent Schools Superintendent Coy Samons told WKMS News when the district became aware of the threat, students were evacuated, and law enforcement began searching the building.

The students and employees at Murray High School have all been deemed safe, Sgt. Andrew Wiggins of the Murray Police Department told media Monday. Murray Police received a report of shots fired or of hearing gunshots at the high school at 8:54 a.m. and responded to the scene. “While clearing the building, no evidence of a gunshot was found,” Wiggins said during a press conference.
