A day after going into lockdown concerning a call about possible gunshots heard at Murray High School; the school dismissed students Tuesday morning for a possible bomb threat.
Murray Police Department Sgt. Andrew Wiggins told WKMS News the call came in around 8:10 a.m. He added several officers were already on the scene, and the department notified the bomb squad and the ATF.
The school building and surrounding ground grounds were checked multiple times with no bomb found, with the search ending around 11:30 a.m.
Murray Independent Schools Superintendent Coy Samons told WKMS News when the district became aware of the threat, students were evacuated, and law enforcement began searching the building.
