Bullet Train Project: The financial bids for the steel bridges opened on December 18, 2020
Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), responsible for executing the country s first bullet train project, signed a contract agreement with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) - IHI Consortium on February 22, 2021. The agreement signed is for the fabrication and procurement of 28 steel bridges, for crossing over railway lines, rivers, highways, roads, and other structures for the Mumbai Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. The NHSRCL awarded the Rs 1,390 crore contract to Larson and Toubro – IHI Infrastructure Systems (Consortium) on January 25, 2021. ( The actual construction work has begun for the MAHSR corridor and things are taking shape. This is the third significant contract awarded by NHSRCL for the Project. New Delhi: Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project progress got another push as nine companies, including infrastructure major KEC International, Patel Infrastructure, and SCC-VRS (JV), have bid to undertake preparatory works for the Sabarmati maintenance depot of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor (package C-8).
As per National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), total nine bidders have participated in the process and financial bids will be opened after the evaluation of the technical bids. The project cost is estimated to be around Rs 500 crore.
