47abc July 14, 2021 MARYLAND – The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is giving licensed child care centers and family child care providers a chance to get more funding. MSDE announced the first round of Child Care Stabilization Grants are now available, totaling about $309 million. “As we emerge from the pandemic, we recognize the critical role that child care providers have played in the state’s overall recovery efforts – nurturing, caring and educating our youngest children while simultaneously supporting our State’s economy,” said Maryland Governor Larry Hogan in a release. Providers will be able to apply for grants that will help support developmental and learning needs of children, promote equal access to child care, and support child care workers.
