Karachi Kings newly-appointed coach Herschelle Gibbs is very impressed by the local talent in the franchise,
The former South African batsman believes his squad has the depth required to defend the Pakistan Super League (PSL) title in the upcoming edition scheduled to begin in Karachi from February 20.
Gibbs said that while he had no issues with foreign players, it was great to see promising local youngsters who are part of the team.
“Obviously the last couple of days were important as I had to look at the local players. I know overseas players and I had no concerns about them as I have been following them playing at various levels,” he said.

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court has directed the federal and provincial authorities to collect information and submit reports regarding whereabouts of missing persons.
When a two-judge bench headed by Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto took up a set of petitions seeking recovery of missing persons, parents of Umar Zaman, who was allegedly picked up by the personnel of law enforcement agencies in 2014, submitted that there was no clue to their son since his disappearance.
The bench observed that several sessions of joint investigation team (JIT) on missing persons and provincial task force (PTF) had been held, but to no avail and the petitioner appeared to be disappointed.

PESHAWAR: An anti-terrorism court here on Tuesday turned down the pre-arrest bail plea of social activist Gulalai Ismail’s father Prof Mohammad Ismail in a case registered by the counter-terrorism department on the charges of sedition and terror financing and facilitation.
It, however, accepted the similar petition of Gulalai’s mother, Uzlifat Ismail, who has also been named in the case.
After the bail denial, the CTD held Prof Ismail, who is also a social activist and a member of Pakistan NGOs Forum.
It will produce him before the court today (Wednesday) to secure his physical custody.
