Being a journalist myself, with a career spanning almost a decade in the field, I have been rattling my brain about the books I have read about my own field in a fast-changing landscape. DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) organised a rally in Dera Ismail Khan on Tuesday to protest against the killing of Dr Waliullah Dawar by unidentified attackers in North Waziristan tribal district. A large number of young doctors participated in the rally held on the premises of the District Headquarters Teaching Hospital, Dera. The rally was led by YDA local chairman Dr Misbah-ur-Rehman Mehsud, senior vice-president Dr Mohammad Ilyas and spokesman Dr Siddique. The protesters wore black armbands and carried placards inscribed with slogans against the assassination of Dr Waliullah Dawar. They demanded protection for the doctors’ community.

SHC directs Hyderabad SSP to recover missing person Karachi January 17, 2021 The Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed the Hyderabad SSP to submit a progress report with regard to the recovery of a missing person allegedly detained by personnel of law enforcement agencies. Petitioner Shabana Sheikh submitted that her nephew Zain Sheikh had allegedly been whisked away by personnel of law enforcement agencies from his house situated in the Hali Road area on January 1. A division bench of the SHC headed by Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto asked a provincial law officer about the progress being made to recover the detainee. The law officer submitted that no incident had been taken place at the SITE police station Hyderabad.
