Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Tuesday expressed unflinching and resolute support and solidarity with people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) who were under an unprecedentedly horrific and inhuman sieged of 730 days.
President FPCCI, Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo, in a statement issued here, has demanded the international community to do more and isolate India until and unless it ends the barbaric siege of Kashmiris.
He also called for effectively wiped out illegitimate relocations and resettlements in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
FPCCI would passionately commemorate Yaum-i-Istehsal to create awareness and make the voice of Kashmir heard loud and clear – domestically & internationally, the statement said adding that “Our message is immediate and total freedom from atrocities and from the siege of the innocent people of Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by the cowardly Indian forces.”

Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) president Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo on Friday appealed to the Sindh government to reconsider the lockdown decision.
FPCCI president said the country’s economic hub Karachi should not be completely shut down. He said industries should be allowed to open seven days a week. The lockdown decision will destroy the industry.
FPCCI president Mian Naser Hyatt Maggo expressed these views in response to the Sindh government’s decision to impose another immediate lockdown on Friday which will take effect from today till 8th August.

FPCCI expresses concerns on SBP’s contractionary monetary policy stance

KARACHI: A key industry body on Wednesday said the central bank s move to keep interest rate unchanged at 7 percent disappointed businesses that believed lower rate would help boost economy in pandemic and lockdowns.
Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo, president Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry said the recently announced monetary policy is the continuation of the contractionary monetary policies adopted by the State Bank of Pakistan since over a year . Keeping the interest rate at 7 percent unchanged is not appropriate at this time when the government is taking strict measures of lockdown and limiting economic activities of all segments of the economy, Maggo said in a statement.
FPCCI opposes Covid restrictions, asks including nominee in Sindh task force

KARACHI: Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Monday raised objections against the new SOPs being enforced by Sindh from this week, and demanded the government to take the chambers’ nominees onboard the provincial Covid Task Force.
FPCCI President Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo said they were the main stakeholders in the province, and therefore should have a nominee in the task force. “Being the apex representative body of business, industry and trade community of Pakistan, we are receiving innumerable complaints regarding ease of doing business being turned upside down in the name of Covid SOPs.”
