KARACHI: Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Karachi, Kim Haksung Friday visited the Federation House and discussed with FPCCI leadership issues of bilateral trade, business travel, and the need to expedite the consultations to agree on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
According to a FPCCI press release, the visit was organized by Pakistan-Korea Business Council. The Korean CG termed it a good opportunity for him to visit FPCCI and listen to the views of the Pakistani business community aimed at doing business with Korea.
President of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber s of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo, expressed satisfaction over the successful meeting with the Korean delegation and stated that Korea could be one of the top destinations for Pakistani Mangoes and Textiles.

Restaurants seek govt nod for dine-in facility
Say sales revenue has dropped sharply because of restrictions

Restaurant owners have appealed to the government to reopen dine-in facilities immediately with appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) in place.
All Pakistan Restaurants Association (APRA) Chairman Babar Nehal and Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo on Wednesday held a press conference to express deep concern of the restaurant industry over the restrictions.
“The restaurant sector is in dire need of government support and facilitation as it has been gravely affected by Covid-19,” they said. “Its operations have been suspended and sales and revenues have declined steeply.”

KARACHI: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Ministry of Commerce for taking measures to facilitate trade and industry during Eid holidays, a statement said on Friday.
FPCCI President Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo referred to the reduction in Eid-ul-Fitr holidays specifically for banks, Customs, and ports, termed it a business, industry, and trade-friendly decision. “It serves the broader national interest of Pakistan by the means of protecting economic activities and growth momentum,” Maggo said, adding that FPCCI had already recommended a change in the decision on Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
