Agenda: The council will consider a parklet and streetery program for outdoor dining, a professional services agreement with Minot Area Chamber EDC and May 15 termination of COVID-19 resolutions, including mask requirements in city buildings. The council will act on 2021 street project plans, cyber security insurance and participation in a S.D. School of Mines study on turning waste to energy by providing waste samples. Agenda: The council will consider the annual report of the MAGIC Fund Screening Committee, an alcohol license for MSU Beaver Booster Club, a policy agreement as follow up to a legal agreement with Minot Convention and Visitors Bureau for an event recruitment plan and selection of a consultant for rehabilitation of the Wells Fargo building into a city hall.

Minot’s annual State of the City event will have a different look this year, with a virtual format and a new Citizen of the Year award.
Mayor Shaun Sipma will deliver the State of the City address Tuesday, starting immediately after the planning commission meeting on the Minot’s YouTube and Facebook platforms. A link also will be available on the city’s website at minotnd.org. Efforts are being made to possibly broadcast the event on public access Channel 19. The event is expected to run less than an hour and will be recorded for future viewing on the social platforms.
