Migrating warblers sweep into Indiana Dunes fest as falcons hatch in South Bend

Miller Woods of the Indiana Dunes is back open

Miller Woods of the Indiana Dunes is back open By: Matt Nagy CHESTERTON, Ind. All trails of Miller Woods at Indiana Dunes National Park have been reopened a week after a wildfire erupted. Fire crews and park staff have confirmed all trails in visitor areas are safe from any dangerous trees and other hazards.   Visitors are reminded to stay on designated trails and walkways at all times for their safety. Although dead and hazardous trees near the trails have been removed, there are numerous damaged trees and branches that can fall. Wandering off trail can also cause damage to native plants and wildlife habitat as it recovers from the wildfire.
