Id like to thank the federalist society, particularly the Facility Division and practice groups for putting together what we think will be an interesting panel on what looks to be a very interesting term at the Supreme Court. After the trauma of last years confirmation hearings, theres been a thought from those who watched the court that it went out of its way not to look partisan last term, to look for ways to bust up the ideological divide on the court in some cases and to slow walk some controversies to keep them off that years docket. Its been welldocumented that each of the conservative justices at least once joined the four liberals to make up a majority in a case. And it went the other way, too. We have not had a Senate Confirmed director of the atf since march 2015. And in fact, weve only had one confirmed head of the agency since the director position was subject to Senate Confirmation in 2006. It is expensive. The trees were torched. So was this car. Residents say it shows exactly how dangerous illegal fireworks can be. Officially the cause of the fire on luke court is undetermined. Witnesses say the teenagers playing with fireworks nearby seem like obvious culprits. I worry our house. Reporter this one before fire san jose crews responded to on independence day. The cypress trees out front went up in flames threatening surrounding homes. One car was completely damaged. We were able to save both of the homes. Reporter while Police Report no major arrest some hospitals no major injuries. San jose received a huge number of fireworks complaints to their hotline. The city started tracking them in early june. In the months leading up to the fourth they received 130 complaints. On the holiday itself that number jumped up to 1765.
