Man taken to hospital with head, hand an finger injuries after being attacked by dog A man has suffered head, hand and finger injuries after being bitten by a dog. A large police presence was spotted in a residential street early on Thursday morning following reports that a dog, believed to be a Presa Canario breed, was on the loose after it had attacked the man. The dog has since been detained by the police and the man taken to hospital. Police were called by the ambulance service at around 8.35am to Milbourne Street in Blackpool. When they arrived, a man was being treated for multiple injuries, and the road was closed off until the dog was located at a nearby house in Charles Street.
