May 5, 2021 NORMANIA TOWNSHIP A Minneota teen was injured in a single-vehicle crash reported Monday night in Yellow Medicine County, the Minnesota State Patrol said. The crash was reported at 8:09 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and 168th Avenue. A 2013 Dodge Durango driven by Rhonda Kay Callens, 50, of Minneota, was traveling westbound on 170th Avenue when the vehicle left the roadway, the State Patrol said. One passenger in the vehicle, a 16-year-old girl, was taken to Avera Marshall Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries. Callens and a second passenger, age 14, were uninjured, the State Patrol said. The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office and Cottonwood Ambulance responded at the crash scene.

Apr 29, 2021 MARSHALL  A 21-year-old man turned himself in on a Lyon County warrant at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the Law Enforcement Center, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said. MARSHALL  Theft was reported at 9:12 p.m. Tuesday on the 400 block of West Main Street, Marshall Police said. MINNEOTA  A family matter was reported at 4:16 p.m. Tuesday on the 300 block of West Third Street, Minneota Police said. No further information was available. GARVIN  A 23-year-old man was cited for not having a valid Minnesota driver’s license in a traffic complaint at 2:01 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and Lyon County Road 14, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said.
