REGIONAL Minnesota recorded no new COVID-related deaths during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Sunday. Meanwhile, there were another 1,197 new cases of the virus reported, according to this morning’s update from the Minnesota Department of Health.
Among the new cases were two in Murray County, and one each in Pipestone and Rock counties.
The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 569,440 (positive and antigen tests), with 547,021 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 41,043 Minnesota health care workers have contracted the virus.
Minnesota’s death toll from the virus stands at 7,079, including 4,353 residents of long-term care facilities.

The new cases included three each in Nobles and Rock counties, as well as one apiece in Jackson and Murray counties. Cottonwood and Pipestone counties each had no new cases.

The new cases included four each in Cottonwood and Rock counties, three in Nobles County, and two each in Jackson, Murray and Pipestone counties.
The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 566,687 (positive and antigen tests), with 542,520 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 40,951 Minnesota health care workers have contracted the virus.
