REGIONAL — Minnesota recorded 1,569 additional cases of COVID-19 during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Saturday, according to Sunday’s update from the Minnesota Department of Health. The new cases included three each in Nobles and Rock counties, as well as one apiece in Jackson and Murray counties. Cottonwood and Pipestone counties each had no new cases.
The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 568,243 (positive and antigen tests), with 544,781 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 41,002 Minnesota health care workers have contracted the virus.
