A road in Derbyshire is closed today, May 28, as activity is expected start at the Mission Impossible set in Stoney Middleton.

Rehearsals, filming and site clearance are expected to be complete within the next few weeks.
A notice has been put up about temporary road closures near Darlton Quarry.
It states Middleton Lane will be shut from May 14 to May 16 and from May 28 to May 30.
The road will be closed for a distance of 600 metres between the junction with Black Harry Lane and Highfields Barn.
Mission Impossible 7 is expected to be released in May 2022.

Hollywood came to Derbyshire this month as the seventh instalment of Mission Impossible, starring Tom Cruise, was being filmed in Stoney Middleton.
The disused Darlton Quarry is the backdrop for one of the blockbuster s signature adrenaline-fuelled stunts.
We knew that Middleton Lane, which leads up to the set, was set to be closed today and tomorrow, presumably while shooting takes place or preparations are made for the dramatic stunt.
