Hollywood came to Derbyshire this month as the seventh instalment of Mission Impossible, starring Tom Cruise, was being filmed in Stoney Middleton.
The disused Darlton Quarry is the backdrop for one of the blockbuster s signature adrenaline-fuelled stunts.
We knew that Middleton Lane, which leads up to the set, was set to be closed today and tomorrow, presumably while shooting takes place or preparations are made for the dramatic stunt.

A-list celebrities don t come much bigger than the world famous Tom Cruise, best known for his role as Ethan Hunt in all the Mission: Impossible films.
With filming of the seventh instalment of the movie franchise well under way, the multi-award winning actor is set to visit Darlton Quarry, Stoney Middleton, in the Peak District, to film a dramatic stunt scene for the film.
