While Michigan Medicine received 1,950 doses of the vaccine, Michigan Medicine did not know it was getting those vaccines until Dec. 11, according to Dr. Sandro Kurt Cinti. Michigan Medicine also wanted to try its vaccination method to see what it needed to learn from giving the vaccine, Cinti said.
