Michigan Medicine ramping up to 600 COVID-19 vaccinations per day next week, officials say

ANN ARBOR, MI Michigan Medicine has vaccinated 190 people since receiving its first shipment of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine on Monday and will start vaccinating 600 people per day next week, doctors said during a town hall meeting Friday.
While Michigan Medicine received 1,950 doses of the vaccine, Michigan Medicine did not know it was getting those vaccines until Dec. 11, according to Dr. Sandro Kurt Cinti. Michigan Medicine also wanted to try its vaccination method to see what it needed to learn from giving the vaccine, Cinti said.
