Jesus Cruz, 20, of Boyertown, was charged with trafficking heroin/fentanyl that resulted in death.
Cruz, who is in Berks County Prison, had been charged in December with possession and sale of heroin, carrying a firearm without a license and criminal use of a communications device in relation to the incident.

After detention in the Berks County Sheriffâs Department central processing center, Cruz was arraigned Feb. 23 before District Judge Michael G. Hartman. The amount of his bail was not available.
Keyaira Nunez-Trego, 28, described in court documents as Cruzâs girlfriend, was charged with possession of illegal drugs with intent to deliver and criminal conspiracy. She is expected to turn herself in to authorities.

The US government will never drop its criminal charges against Autonomy founder Mike Lynch even if extradition were refused, his US attorney has told a British court.
Chris Morvillo, Lynch s US legal representative, said to Westminster Magistrates Court yesterday afternoon: Even if extradition were refused, the judge would not dismiss the charges against Mr Lynch in the US, in the event Mr Lynch was apprehended outside the United Kingdom and brought to the United States. The charges wouldn t disappear.
Morvillo, a partner in the US branch of law firm Clifford Chance, was replying to questions from District Judge Michael Snow. The judge is presiding over the US s attempt to extradite Lynch from London to stand trial on 17 criminal charges.

DOYLESTOWN, PA What started off as a routine traffic stop in Bedminster Township Friday night led to a drug investigation and the seizure of nearly $4 million worth of illicit drugs, the Bucks County District Attorney s Office said Thursday.
Bedminster Township Officer officer James Zukow pulled over a Jeep for swerving and the driver, later identified as 28-year-old Christian Ochoa, of Laredo, Texas, consented to a search, which led to the seizure of one kilogram of heroin and fentanyl and nine kilograms of cocaine with a street value of $1.2 million.
