The City of Ottawa has been pulled into a legal fray surrounding the alleged conduct violations of Coun. Rick Chiarelli, with one the complainants in an integrity investigation claiming the municipal government is liable for her suffering.
The lawsuit filed in Superior Court by Stephanie Dobbs in January names the City of Ottawa as the defendant and claims $325,000 in damages. None of allegations in the lawsuit has been tested in court.
