IDAHO FALLS – A new CBD and plant-extract shop is now open in Idaho Falls.
Plant Therapy opened inside the Grand Teton Mall in the space next to JCPenney November 25. Store Manager Whitney Wilda tells EastIdahoNews.com there’s been a lot of positive response from customers over the last several months.
“We have people who come in who are excited to discover us and see that we’re here every day, but it’s a lot of people who don’t necessarily come to the mall all the time. We’re trying to get out in the community and make ourselves present in other ways so that people know to come here and find us,” Wilda says.
Alturas Preparatory Academy to move into former Sears property
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - TOK Commercial has announced the closing of a transaction for the sale of the former Sears retail anchor space in the Grand Teton Mall. It will become the new Alturas Preparatory Academy, a secondary school planned to open in fall 2021.
The 70,000 square foot space was purchased by Building Hope, a nonprofit organization that assists charter schools in the financing, procurement and renovation of educational facilities.
According to Brian Wilson and Brent Wilson of TOK Commercial, which assisted in the selection and negotiation of the purchase, Building Hope plans extensive renovations that will feature 30 classrooms, common areas, and flexible, naturally-lit collaborative spaces.

EastIdahoNews.com is highlighting hardworking people who make our local businesses a success. Every Sunday, we’re Getting to Know YOU!
1. Name and job title. Katie Burke, Project Manager at IE Productions. The best marketing agency that ever existed.
2. What do you do in your position? I’m a friendly face in what can be an office of curmudgeonly men. HR has warned me against referring to them as old or grumpy because 50 is like the new 80 or something. I’m not quite sure, I wasn’t paying attention. I also help clients establish their marketing goals and then assign tasks to an extremely talented team that makes all the hard things happen. Honestly, when hologram technology catches up to us and there can be a smiling person to greet people AND sign for packages, I will have been worked out of a job but, until then, I will remain at IE Productions.
