Church marks the 100th anniversary commemorative of the Concord place of worship next month, organizers of the centennial events are searching for parishioners past and present to partake in upcoming celebrations. Led by the Rev. Jacob Thumma, pastor of the Concord church, Joe Messineo, Eileen Kavanagh and Neale Steiniger, chairpersons, and committee members Janet Samuel, Pat De Respino, Carol Davila, Peter Tesoriero, Joy Przybyla, Lynn Giordano, Nicole Amitrano, Pat Bertolini and Carmela Girardi two major milestone events are on the horizon.

Archdiocesan Schools of Special Education to host virtual parent information night

The Archdiocesan Schools of Special Education (SOSE) will host a virtual parent information night Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 7 p.m. – 9  p.m. This session will provide families with an opportunity to meet Dr. Danielle Heeney, Director of Special Education for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Dr. Heeney assumed her new position in early April 2021 and will work directly with the three SOSE. They include Our Lady of Confidence School Saint David Parish Site in Willow Grove (Montgomery County); and Our Lady of Confidence School High School Program currently located in Wyncote (Montgomery County); Saint Lucy School for Children with Visual Impairments in Juniata Park (Philadelphia); Saint Katherine School Main Campus in Wynnewood (Montgomery County) and Saint Katherine School High School Program in Radnor (Delaware County). In addition, she will coordinate special education services in Archdiocesan high schools throughout the five-county region.
