announced its lineup of programming and events to promote student and faculty wellness.
This month’s wellness day will primarily focus on physical and environmental wellness, and programs will range from in-person events to virtual and pre-recorded activities.
According to Dan Murphy, programming committee co-lead and director for Student Orientation and Transition Programs, physical and environmental wellness are both about giving back to your body and your community, and are necessary in maintaining your overall wellness.
“Physical wellness is about listening to your body’s needs, supplying the right fuel and discovering your own paths to physical wellness,” Murphy said. “Environmental wellness is about connecting to your community and the wider environment. On April 7, we encourage Penn Staters to give themselves the gifts of nourishing food, physical movement and connection to the outdoors.”
