The pair stole toys, perfume and were caught removing security tags from aftershave. Alistair Brown, 35, of Macbeth Road and Amber Smith, 26, of Mackie Place, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court. The partners both admitted the offences at the Asda store, Fulmar Way, Hillend, which took place on three separate occasions in 2019. On September 24, they stole a quantity of toys, worth £78.40. On November 26, they stole a quantity of perfume, worth £115. On November 27, they removed security tags from items and attempted to steal a quantity of perfume and aftershave. Brown’s solicitor, Chris Sneddon, said that, at the time, his client had a cocaine addiction but had now stopped offending.
The late-night assault took place outside a hot-food takeaway in Carnegie Drive, Dunfermline. The assailant, Lee McBride, 36, of Macbeth Road, Dunfermline, has been sentenced finally – more than three years on. He appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, having admitted that on January 13, 2018, at Masala Grill, he shouted and swore at a woman, made threats of violence towards her and acted aggressively towards her. He also assaulted the woman by punching her on the head. He further admitted that he threw a bin maliciously and repeatedly at a vehicle occupied by the woman, causing extensive damage to it and causing alarm to her.
