Auburn
Saturday: At noon, the American Legion Post and the Chester P. Tuttle Post 279, escorted by the Auburn Police Department., will conduct a salute at all 13 veterans squares in town, starting with the first salute and wreath placement at Tuttle Square.
894 flags were put in the cemeteries on all of the grave markers for their fallen veterans.
There will be no parade and events on Sunday and Monday, said Town Manager Julie Jacobson.
“The parade and other events had been cancelled due to COVID restrictions, so even with the changes announced last week by the state, it was too late to plan any additional events,” Jacobson said.

Patricia Baillie, known as Trish passed away on May 19, 2021 at the age of 70 years.
A native of the Thunder Bay area, Trish grew up horseback riding and shared that passion with her family throughout her life. She was a nurse at St Joseph s care group and Dawson Court before retiring in 2008. Trish moved to Atikokan after retirement where she found community connections at the Royal Canadian Legion Br 145 and the Church of the Good Shepherd. She also found great joy in the community garden and shared her love for gardening with her family and friends.
Trish will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Greg(Susan), and Douglas; her former spouse and lifelong friend, William (Bill) Richardson; her children Adam (Amy), Laura (Tyson), Kerri (James) and Leah (Mike). She will also be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her 7 grandchildren Will, Aroura, Devin, Colson, McKenna, Erick and Ian. She is predeceased by her brother, Bobby Baillie.
At 69, he’s feeling just about every one of those years.
His left knee, which doctors say they will replace, throbs with arthritis every time he puts sneaker to pavement.
His right hip, which doctors won’t replace, hurts worse, he said, donning a post-race, sweat-stained t-shirt that bills him Thunder Bay’s fittest person.
Wiry and a little wrinkled from time, Young has raced in 54 of the past 55 Ten Mile Road Races, missing only the 1984 competition because of a back injury suffered at work. He still road the course that spring on a bicycle, even if it was too painful to compete.
