Obituary: Carol Ann Mooney (3/12/21) | Mountain Home News

Friday, March 12, 2021 Carol Ann Mooney, age 82, of Mountain Home, passed away at home on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Carol will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. A Celebration of Carol Ann’s life will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home. Carol was born on October 24, 1938 in Mountain Home, Idaho to Thomas and Norma (Gaines) Mellen. After graduating from Mountain Home High School, Carol worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. John Bideganeta for many years. Carol had a great love for all animals, especially dogs and horses. She was also a proud member of the Mountain Home Street Walkers who raise money for the 4th of July Fireworks.

Tue, 03/09/2021 - 12:30pm LeForest ‘Lee’ E. Dodge. ROCKPORT LeForest Earl Dodge, Jr., 75, husband of Marlene (Wentworth) Dodge, died on February 17, 2021 at Pen Bay Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Camden on November 2, 1945, he was the son of LeForest E. Dodge, Sr. and Virginia (Hills) Dodge and was a 1964 graduate of Camden High School. Lee served in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam from 1964 to 1967 and married Marlene Wentworth in Rockport on September 13, 1969. After receiving his Associates’ Degree at Husson College in Bangor, he was employed at FMC in Rockland for 42 years. Lee was a 42 member of the Camden American Legion Post #30 and 46 year member of the Rockland Elks Lodge. His hobbies included snowmobiling, riding his motor cycle, and travelling in their RV. Lee and Marlene spent several winters in Texas and had lived in Dover Foxcroft for a few years before moving back to Rockport.

Pocatello cemetery clean-up begins March 29 POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - The yearly clean-up of Pocatello’s two City-operated cemeteries has been scheduled for the end of the month. Crews will begin the process of removing and discarding decorations and flower placements that have been left on graves at Restlawn Cemetery and Mountain View Cemetery on Monday, March 29. Residents who would like to keep them from being discarded are asked to retrieve these items before March 29. The process of cleaning the cemeteries takes about a month and once the clean-up is finished, the decorations can be placed back on the graves. “We do the annual cleanup to keep our cemeteries beautiful and welcoming to family and friends while visiting their loved ones,” Cemetery Administrator Ruth Wilford said.
