KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 The situation in flood-hit areas in Sabah and Sarawak continued to show improvement today, as the number of evacuees at relief centres decreased.
The fine weather in Sarawak saw the number of flood victims at the relief centres continued to drop to 3,780 people so far compared to 4,247 people this morning.

The aid includes large quantities of medical and food supplies, and shelter materials.
The UAE has provided urgent humanitarian aid to those affected by the floods that swept the state of Pahang, Malaysia.
The move is in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The aid includes large quantities of medical and food supplies, and shelter materials. The first phase of the aid programme that is implemented by the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) will benefit more than 50,000 people.
